LISTEN: Cincinnati Music Releases – March ’17 Playlist

Check out tracks from new releases by Cincinnati-area artists like Lung, Skeleton Hands, Homage (CVG) & Waldo from Cincinnati, Frontier Folk Nebraska and more

Three months into 2017 and the recorded output from Greater Cincinnati musical acts is looking pretty damn good. March has been another good month, and April is looking to be pretty spectacular as well (with new ones from The Upset Victory, Joesph and Brian Olive among the many releases slated).

March releases that caught our attention included a great new EP from Frontier Folk Nebraska (read more here), the first full-length from imaginative (and rockin’) cello/drums duo Lung (see more here), a debut EP from rockers Stallone N’ Roses, the first LP from The Lovers and Grocery Choppin’, a fun and funky collection of sample collages from Homage (CVG) and Waldo from Cincinnati that is also a benefit for Northside’s Apple Street Market grocery co-op (click here for info on the project’s vinyl fundraiser).

We also really dug the new EP from local Coldwave duo Skeleton Hands and the Hard Rock stylings of Avanti on its six-song release, Convictions, as well as new efforts from AltRock crew See You in the Funnies, newcomers Hamlet and Folk/Rock duo Hayden Kaye.

As always, click the Bandcamp or Soundcloud links for each track in the playlist to hear more from the artists, and support them by purchasing music, going to see them live or at least spreading the word.
