Peter Rowan, The Hackensaw Boys, The Tillers, Buffalo Killers and More

Aug. 28-30 • Whispering Beard Folk Festival

Tree-huggers, city slickers, hippies, beard enthusiasts and just plain folk will unite in hordes to attend the Whispering Beard Folk Festival, a three-day music event that showcases local and regional talent in a laid-back, rural setting.

The tranquil lakeside pastures of Thorn Hill Farm, located 30 minutes from Cincinnati in Morning View, Ky., will be pulsating with fresh Folk vibes and dancing feet as more than 25 bands perform an entire weekend’s worth of tunes. Musical acts include local favorites like The Tillers, Buffalo Killers, Jake Speed and the Freddies, Rumpke Mountain Boys and Wonky Tonk, plus national headliners Peter Rowan (pictured) on Saturday and The Hackensaw Boys on Friday.

Attendees have the option of reserving a lakeside campsite for the weekend, which is included in the price of a weekend pass, or purchasing a day pass that will grant them access to the farm for one day and night, camping included. Weekend passes for adults are $58 each and for children (6-12) $18. Friday passes and Saturday passes for adults are $35 each ($8 children); Sunday passes are $15 for adults ($5 children). VIP tickets are available for $148 each.
