The Everything Pets Expo comes to the Duke Energy Center this weekend with demonstrations, entertainment, education, adoptions and all the furry little fun you can handle. Well, furry and feathered.

Like it claims in the name, the expo literally has everything. There will be retailers, groomers, veterinarians, rescue groups, boutiques, trainers, information about food, boarding, daycare and more. Seminars and demonstrations include Common Sense Dog Training, Dealing with Pet Loss, Pet Massage, Pet First Aid and Bird Basics.

You can watch contests like Doggie Dog Over, where groomers take pups from drab to fab; agility and fly ball; and auditions for David Letterman’s Stupid Pet Tricks. Or you can just wander around and look at all the pets that are up for adoption. Cute!

And although the expo wants you to spend the weekend learning and loving your pet, they don’t want your pet there. No one wants to clean up accidents and they don’t want them interacting with the adoptable animals.

Show times: 2-8 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. $12; $8 children 8-12; free for under 8.
