Doris Kearns Goodwin is one of the nation’s most recognizable historians, especially after last fall’s tour to promote the film Lincoln, based on her book Team of Rivals.

Now, she discusses her new book, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism. The Pulitzer Prize-winner spent seven years, including time at Cincinnati Museum Center, researching how the Rough Rider and one of Cincinnati’s favorite sons went from friends to bitter political rivals.

Lecture and book signing at 7 p.m. Free with the purchase of The Bully Pulpit from Joseph-Beth. School for Creative & Performing Arts, 108 W. Central Parkway, Over-the-Rhine, josephbeth.com or cincymuseum.org.
