As vaccination rates increase and COVID-19 cases diminish, life is slowly returning to pre-pandemic normalcy, but one of Greater Cincinnati's favorite celebrations is not quite ready to join hands and "Opa!" the night away.

Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church's annual Panegyri will take place as a drive-thru festival from June 24-26, and will feature a sampling of the event's most popular dishes. Guests must place their orders online in advance and choose a pick-up time.

Dishes range from gyro and pastitsio (a la carte or as meals) to Greek pizza and salad, plus sides like spanakopita, tyropita and Greek fries. There will also be plenty of baked goods to choose from including baklava, kourambiethes, pasta flora and koulourakia.

The festival was canceled last year due to the pandemic.

"Our hope is that 2021 will be a transitional year, and future Panegyri festivals will offer the food, entertainment and culture that we have been able to provide in the past," the festival website says. "For now, join us this June as we offer the best food of the Panegyri."
