Rather than having to leave Cincinnati for the beach life, the beach life is coming to Cincinnati. And we're happy to waste away again in it.

Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band returns to Cincinnati at 8 p.m. July 13 at Riverbend Music Center.

Buffett, who plays a unique style of Country-Rock, is a regular visitor to Cincinnati. Originally scheduled to stop by the Queen City in 2020, the musician cancelled plans in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cincinnati became a major attraction for Buffett & The Coral Reefers in 1985 when Buffett noticed fans wearing parrot shirts and hats during his show at Timberwolf Amphitheater in Mason. Buffett superfans have since been known as “Parrotheads,” thanks to the Cincinnati crowd.

Buffett's impact on the Queen City goes beyond his concerts, as this spring the Feeding Frenzy, an 18-person party boat named and themed after the Buffett album, hit the Ohio River. Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant also occupied a spot in Jack Casino from 2013-2017.

Riverbend’s parking lots will open at 8 a.m. for the 8 p.m. concert to accommodate enthusiastic Parrotheads' tailgating. The concert venue’s gates will open at 6 p.m. Both reserved seating and general admission lawn tickets are still available at riverbend.com.
