Last summer, our mouths and souls were graced by a tasty weekly pop-up at Cincinnati vino shop and bar Oakley Wines.
Parlor Pizza Project, founded by Alex Plattner, kicked off its Sunday Slice pop-up in late August, featuring two or three different 10-inch pizza options weekly, which guests could either enjoy at the shop or take to-go.
And after many sold-out nights and success, Plattner announced in early January his plans to open his very own brick-and-mortar pizza shop just down the road in Hyde Park.
Pizza Parlor Project's petite shop, located at 3392 Erie Ave., officially opened on Friday, Feb. 19.
The pizzeria focuses on carry-out pizzas and salads, with six signature 16" pizzas to choose from plus the option to create your own. The menu currently features one salad, the Caesar, which serves two.
On Feb. 18, the day before the restaurant's opening, Plattner posted on his Facebook page thanking the community for their patience and expressing his appreciation for his dad, who played a major part in renovating the space.
Placing an order for your pizza is kind of like making a reservation at a restaurant. You can call in your order (513-532-2571) starting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. You will select a specific pick-up time depending on the pizzeria's availability and your preference. Payment is processed at time of pick-up. If you'd like to pay in advance and pick up your order curbside, that is also an available option — just let the team know ahead of time.
