As of today — Monday, March 22 — all Kentuckians ages 50 or older can sign up to receive the COVID vaccine.
And, according to Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, starting April 12, everyone 16 and older will be eligible for the shots(s). (Ohioans 16 and up will be eligible for the COVID vaccine on March 29.)
“Kentuckians deemed most vulnerable should still get priority, and they will, but we can’t have these vaccines sitting in a freezer. We are in a race against the COVID-19 variants and we’ve got to get it out fast,” said Beshear.

NKY Health, which has partnered with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and HealthPoint Family Care, says vaccines will be available by appointment only for those who qualify.
- Walk-ins will not be permitted; the vaccine dosage is limited to those who have registered.
- At the time of your appointment you will need to provide a Kentucky ID to verify your residence.
- If someone schedules an appointment to receive the COVID vaccine but they do not meet current verifications, they will not get it.
- Those who arrive without an appointment will also not be vaccinated.
