Yes, we know, we're still hanging on to what's left of our blink-of-an-eye summer and now we're already talking about our plans for the holidays.
Well, it'll be here before you know it. And you have something pretty special to look forward to this year.
After shifting their annual Christmas concert to a virtual performance from their Nowhere Else Farm during to the pandemic last year, Cincinnati favorite Folk duo Over the Rhine has announced a live, in-person show at Memorial Hall this winter.
"After the surreal and challenging season we’ve all been through, with stages all around the world going dark, I’m not sure about you, but live music in a warmly lit space with real live breathing humans? We’ll be there," the announcement on their website reads.

The concerts will take place at 8 p.m. Dec. 17 and Dec. 18, and at 2 p.m. Dec. 19. Tickets range in price from $45-$75 and can be purchased online.
The concert announcement whimsically concludes with the following, "maybe a midnight snow will fall and turn each streetlight into its own private snow globe. The venue announced Aug. 16 that it would require all patrons, staff members, contractors and volunteers to wear masks indoors. The policy is effective immediately and applies regardless of vaccination status.
“The health and safety of our audiences, artists and staff is our top priority,” an email from Memorial Hall said.
Those within the venue will be required to wear masks at all times when not actively eating or drinking.
Venue representatives said that while there’s no vaccine requirement to enter Memorial Hall, some individual performers may require it for certain shows. Memorial Hall said that ticketholders who are not vaccinated can request refunds from the box office at least 24 hours before a show begins.
