What is a Halloween season without a good haunting? You could wait for a ghost to come to you or you could be proactive and seek out some spirits.

There are multiple guided tours offering otherworldly experiences for those who want to join in on a ghastly ghostly adventure around Cincinnati.

Flying Pig Tours offers Buried Secrets, a two-hour walking tour that takes you through the dark, mysterious past of one of Cincinnati’s most haunted neighborhoods: Over-the-Rhine. “From murderous rage to body snatching for medical dissection,” the trip might land you with a class A haunting. Tickets are $29, find more information and book at hauntedcincytours.com.

American Legacy Tours hosts three spooky adventures with tickets still available for the upcoming Halloween season.

The Ultimate Queen City is Haunted Tour also adventures through OTR, visiting some of the most historic and possibly ghost-filled spots in Cincinnati. They say the tour ends with a visit to the Emery Theater. This tour is only offered in October, so check it out while you can.

On the Newport is Haunted Tour, guides will regale you with tales of “murder, suicide and even decapitation.” You also get a haunted history lesson of the tale of Northern Kentucky nightclub Bobby Mackey's and learn about some of Newport’s “most infamous unsolved crimes.”

Learn a thing or two and get spooked on the Covington Haunted and Historic Tour. Hear about the “controversies, feuds, and the spirits” that haunt the area where, in the 1860s, “wealthy slave-holding families who help finance the rebellion lived doors down from ardent abolitionists and financiers of the Union.”

Tickets for all three start at $29. Find more info and book tickets at americanlegacytours.com.

Bobby Mackey’s — also known as “The Most Haunted Nightclub in America” — offers its own two-hour guided ghost tours, where visitors may find themselves face-to-face with the paranormal. Participants are welcome to bring their own ghost-hunting equipment, like EMF meters and cameras. There are also five-hour-long private investigations for those who take their paranormal investigations seriously. Tickets are $35. Get more info and book a tour at gatekeeperparanormal.com.
