Stricker’s Grove is a private family-owned and operated, 25-acre old-fashioned amusement park located near Ross, Ohio.
It is closed to the public for most of the year, except for Labor Day, the Fourth of July, Family Day (in August) and Customer Appreciation Day — which takes place this Sunday, Oct. 10.
This is the final day of 2021 it will be open until Labor Day next year.
The nostalgia-inducing theme park is home to tons of games and classic rides — including a scrambler, tilt-a-whirl and swinging pirate ship — but it's claim to fame is its two roller coasters. There's the Teddy Bear, originally located at Coney Island and rebuilt at Stricker's Grove, and the wooden Tornado, hand-built by owner Ralph Stricker himself.
If you seek other family-friendly amusements, the park also has an 18-hole miniature golf course, a shooting gallery, horseshoes and an arcade with video games and Skee-Ball.
During Customer Appreciation Day, tickets are $15 per person and free for those 2 and under. Tickets include all rides and roller coasters, mini golf, parking and free treats (soft drinks, cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones).
Food and alcohol will be available for purchase, but you can bring your own food in as well.
The park will be open from 1-8 p.m. Oct. 10 with rides running 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.
