Summer seems to have flashed by in the blink of an eye.
As we enter the month of August, kids are preparing for their return to school, and a local entertainment destination is preparing to wrap up its summer season.
Kings Island announced on Aug. 2 that the park will end its daily operations on Aug. 15, giving folks a two-week notice to get their mid-week coaster rides in before the park shifts to weekend-only operation through Labor Day.
After Aug. 15, the park will remain open throughout weekends Aug. 21-22, Aug. 28-29 and Sept. 4-6 before closing up for the summer season.
Although official dates have not yet been announced, Kings Island's website confirms that the park's annual Halloween Haunt will return this fall, and WinterFest will return this November.
