July 28 will mark an explosive night of firsts in Smale Riverfront Park when Cincinnati’s newest music venue Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center celebrates the inaugural concert on its outdoor festival stage.

Performing will be iconic Rock band the Foo Fighters, kicking off the first show of a six-city tour in support of the group’s new album Medicine at Midnight

It’s already been a busy season for the Foo Fighters. The band was announced as one of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2021 inductees earlier this month and they’re expected to perform at music festival mainstays Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo this summer.

This Cincinnati concert also marks the band’s first confirmed headlining show since Medicine at Midnight was released in February.

Missouri Rock band Radkey will be supporting the band throughout the tour.

As for the venue, ICON Music Center is all-ages and features both an indoor stage with a 4,500 capacity and an outdoor festival stage with an 8,000 capacity. Upcoming concerts include household names such as Jason Mraz, Machine Gun Kelly and the Flaming Lips. See CityBeat’s sneak peek at the venue.

Tickets for the Foo Fighters go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, on Ticketmaster.com and ICONMusicCenter.com.
