There are two types of people in this world: those who believe a salad can be a meal and those who don't. (Obviously there are also humans who don't even think about salads in general.)

If you are a salad person, chances are you frequently ask yourself, "Where the heck can I find a good salad for lunch/dinner/etc.?" Well, soon there will be a new spot in town to try. (There are also these top 3 Best Of Cincinnati salad winners.)

Louisville-based, fast-casual chain Green District is a build-your-own salad (and wrap) concept slated to open at Fountain Square later this year. It will be located next to the lobby of the Fifth Third Center at 33 E. Sixth St., Downtown.

“Cincinnati’s a great market for our expansion as we believe people are ready for fresh and healthy lunch or dinner options, and of course Fountain Square is the heart of the city,” said Jordan Doepke, Green District co-founder, in a release. “When you come to Green District, you can count on us to be fresh, to be real, and to be quality. It’ll bring a convenient option to grab a fast healthy meal and even eat out on the square.”

The menu offers seven signature chopped salads. There's standard choices like a Hide & Go Greek or What About Cobb, plus quippier creations like the Thai One On, with Sriracha shrimp, red cabbage, edamame, carrot, cucumber, green onion, dry-roasted peanuts, crispy wontons and Thai peanut dressing.

You can also build your own with toppings ranging from chickpea and mandarin oranges to steak, artichoke and fresh mozzarella. All 15 dressings are made in house.

Green District also offers wraps; each salad and be turned into one or you can create your own.
