College Hill's super popular pop-up drive-in theater returns this summer.

After a very successful first year, the Hollywood Drive-In Theatre is back, screening family-friendly and cult-favorite films from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

Organized by the College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (CHCURC), movies are projected onto the back of the historic Hollywood Theatre, with audio available via your car radio. Food from neighborhood businesses will be for sale at the concession stand.

“After last year’s success, we are really excited to bring the Hollywood Drive-In back to life this year," says Seth Walsh, director of the CHCURC, in a press release. "It’s such a great way to continue building strong bonds with our neighbors and also to welcome people from neighborhoods citywide to check out what College Hill has to offer.”

Movies will be screened every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

So far, the opening weekend line-up has been released:

  • The Sandlot — 9:15 p.m. Friday May, 28
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens — 9:15 p.m. Saturday, May 29
  • Coco — 9:15 p.m. Sunday, May 30

Start times will vary based on sunset, but parking begins 30 minutes before showtime.

Hollywood Theatre is located at 1538 Cedar Ave., College Hill. Tickets are $25 per car and available at hollywooddriveintheater.com.
