Over-the-Rhine Asian streetfood eatery Quan Hapa announced it was closing its doors... but for a good reason.

After nine years on Vine Street, "as one of the earliest restaurants in our neck of OTR," says the restaurant in a Twitter post, "its time for a spruce up."

The last day of operation will be Sunday, Oct. 3, with no reopening date specified.

Quan Hapa says they'll be adding more seating and new menu items.

Quan Hapa is well-known for their okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes), Hapa wings, ramen and bowls like the Kalbi Loco Moco. The traditional Hawaiian Loco Moco generally features some type of hamburger on top of rice, with gravy and a fried egg. Hapa's version takes it up a notch with Sakura Farms Wagyu short rib.

Quan Hapa is located at 1331 Vine St., Over-the-Rhine. More info: quanhapa.com.
