Melancholy Indie Folk stalwarts Andrew Bird and Iron & Wine are embarking on a co-headlining tour this summer, with a stop in Cincinnati.
The two will be bringing the Outside Problems Tour to PNC Pavilion on Aug. 4. Tickets are on sale now via ticketmaster.com.
“It will have been more than two years of being grounded when we finally embark on the Outside Problems summer tour,” Bird said in a statement. “I only wish it could happen sooner. I’m not sure why it took so long for me to meet Sam Beam (of Iron & Wine). His music I have known and admired for many years now. What a lovely guy. The kind of guy that would help you move. See you on the outside.”
Bird, renowned for his avid whistling ability, has released 17 albums, created short films and even acted in the FX TV show Fargo. His latest release debuted in March 2021. Called These 13, the record is a collaboration Jimbo Mathus of Squirrel Nut Zippers.
Iron & Wine is the brainchild of Sam Beam. The South Carolina singer/songwriter has released seven albums over 20 years. Beam released Archive Series Volume No. 5: Tallahassee in 2021.
