The NFL is hosting a virtual Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, Feb. 7 to kick off the festivities leading up to the Bengals taking on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, Feb. 13.
Each team will be hosting free rallies at their respective stadiums and tickets are currently sold out for the Bengals celebration at Paul Brown Stadium. They went on sale at 10 a.m. today.
The NFL says this will be the "first public appearance by Super Bowl players and coaches." Other than that, details are vague as to what actually happens during the "rally." According to the event Facebook page, it is general admission with no assigned seats and starts at 6 p.m.
Festivities will continue all week leading up to the Bengals and the Rams going head to head in the big game. The Rams won the Jan. 30 NFC Championship game to advance with the Bengals, who overcame the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime just hours earlier to become the AFC champs.
The Super Bowl will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Rams' home of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. NBC will broadcast the game, and fans also can watch on Peacock, Telemundo, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
Cincinnatians are still waiting to hear whether or not there will be a Super Bowl watch party at Paul Brown Stadium. The idea was floated for the AFC Championship game, but it was decided the logistics were too complicated.
