Summit Park in Blue Ash will soon have a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).

Blush Ash City Council voted April 14 in a 6-1 majority to approve the DORA in most of the 130-acre park and the Neighborhoods at Summit Park.

If it receives approval from the Ohio Department of Liquor Control, the DORA will be in effect June 1  — just in time for the popular Fourth of July festival, Red, White & Blue Ash, annually held in the park.

While some council members expressed concern over children's playgrounds being within the DORA district, proponents said that any issues that arise could be dealt with by the council in the future.

Summit Park is located at 4335 Glendale Milford Road, Blue Ash. Find more information at summitparkblueash.com.
