Cincinnati Will Close These Roads for the 2022 Flying Pig Marathon This Week

Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon is back for 2022.

After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the seminal race made a special appearance in October. Now, the Flying Pig  is returning to its traditional calendar slot of the first Sunday in May. Along with the big marathon on May 1, there will be additional events on April 29 and 30 (including the half marathon, which recently was named the best in the nation).

But along with the fun comes lots and lots of planning, even for those who aren't participating. Beginning April 28, a number of Cincinnati streets will be closed or will have detours during Flying Pig events, primarily on Sunday. See the Flying Pig's full schedule of road closures April 28-May 1.

In addition, Metro typically posts detours for bus stops along Flying Pig race routes, but the transportation agency has not released its list as of April 26.
