Your summer plans just got a bit more retro.

This Memorial Day weekend, a mobile roller rink is coming to downtown Cincinnati.

Frisch's and 3CDC have announced that they are partnering together on a three-year project that plans to bring a mobile roller rink to different spots around the downtown area.

3CDC says in a press release that the rink will offer access to nearly 10,000 square feet of skating space for $2. They will have 150 pairs of outdoor skates available for a $5 rental fee.

The first Frisch’s Roller Rink will debut during Memorial Day weekend at Court Street Plaza. Per the events page, the rink will be up from Friday, May 27, through Monday, May 30.

Frisch's will be celebrating its 75th year of operation this year, and 3CDC says this partnership will harken back to the popularity of roller skating when the Cincinnati-based regional chain was founded.

“Frisch’s has brought cheerful experiences to guests for 75 years and we will continue to do just that as we celebrate our 75th birthday," Frisch’s VP of marketing Jordin Nabi says in a release. "We are excited to partner with 3CDC to bring back the magic of roller skating and say thank you to our loyal guests.”

3CDC says they hope everyone is able to enjoy these roller rink events. “It’s partnerships like these that make programming across the urban core possible,” says 3CDC’s SVP of event management Christy Samad in a release. “We’re grateful to Frisch’s for their support of the Roller Rink and are eager to bring this activity to the community.”

Frisch’s Roller Rink is set to have six events this year, all held at Court Street Plaza.
