Covington's Goebel Pool goes to the dogs this weekend.

The city is closing out its public pool season by inviting furry friends for a swim on Dog Day, noon-3 p.m. Aug. 7.

“The Cov has a lot of dog owners who like to take their pet out and have fun, and the dog swim day has come to be a very popular event,” the city's Recreational Program Coordinator Tyler Wilson says in a release. “So come hang out with your pup poolside — all responsible pet owners and well-behaved dogs are welcome.”

Dog attendees will get a bandana and there will be a photo booth with available props, including floaties and goggles.

All dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations to enter the pool and pre-registration is welcome but not required.

Goebel Pool is located at 737 Dalton St., Covington. Register for Dog Day at covparks.recdesk.com.
