On Oct. 2,  Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse will serve its final dinner in its flagship location at 700 Walnut St. The award-winning Cincinnati eatery is relocating to the Foundry in Fountain Square. The new location will open its doors on Oct. 8.

Dinner service for Oct. 2 is already at reservation capacity, according to a press release.

The Foundry is a 3CDC-led project converting the old Macy’s building into a mixed-use development. Jeff Ruby’s will be one of several restaurants in the Foundry, which also hosts French brasserie Royce. The building sits directly across from Fountain Square.

“Fountain Square is the iconic center of this amazing city,” owner Jeff Ruby said in a 2021 press release. “It’s where people go to get engaged, where we party after big wins, where we celebrate life. I’m honored that we will be able to add to its legacy and bring joy with world-class dining experiences.”

According to a release from Game Day Communications, the new location will be just as “ultra-luxurious and unique” as the other Jeff Ruby destinations. Th new location will include lavish dining spaces, a furnished patio, valet parking and multiple rooms for private dining and events.

Live music is also at the center of the new Foundry location. A full-service bar and lounge will host musicians on an elevated stage equipped with a Steinway Baby Grand Piano from circa 1860. The piano is “made entirely of 24 karat gold plated bronze and Mother of Pearl flanked by two dramatic torchieres,” according to the release.

Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment is holding onto the original Walnut Street space. After the move, the space will be converted into the company’s full-service event center, offering group dining for up to 200 guests. The event center is scheduled to open in mid-2023.

The new 12,000-square-foot space will be located at 505 Vine St., Downtown. For more information, visit facebook.com/JeffRubysSteakhouse.
