FC Cincinnati fans are ready to make some noise as the team prepares for its first-ever MLS Cup playoff slot.
The Orange and Blue will host a watch party for fans on Oct. 15 as the team takes on the New York Red Bulls in New Jersey. The fun begins at 11 a.m. in the First Financial Club at TQL Stadium. Fans will enjoy half-priced food and drink as well as a FIFA gaming station, live DJ, photo booth, giveaways and more.
Tickets for the watch party are $5 and are on sale now. Parking will be available in the West End Garage and East End Garage for $10. The clear bag policy will be in effect for the event.
Fans also can can watch the game at locations within FC Cincinnati's "Pub Partners" network throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon Oct. 15. The match will be broadcast on WSTR-TV (Star 64), Univision and mlssoccer.com.
FC Cincinnati went into the record books with its 5-2 win on the road over D.C. United on Oct. 9, clinching its first spot in the Major League Soccer Cup playoffs. The Orange and Blue scored four of its five goals in the first half of the final regular-season game, marking another new franchise record. The team effort was propelled by a hat trick from Brenner (born Brenner Souza da Silva), along with attacks and assists by Luciano Acosta and Brandon Vazquez.
No. 5 seed FC Cincinnati will play round one of the MLS Cup playoffs against the No. 4 seed New York Red Bulls at noon Oct. 15 in Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. The playoff winner will face Philadelphia Union in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. There then will be a finals round, followed by the crowning matchup. FC Cincinnati became the 24th team to enter the MLS as a professional soccer team in 2019. Before that, the team played in the second-division United Soccer League (USL) from 2016 to 2018.
