Oakley Fish House is getting a new name and menu makeover as its owner looks to capitalize on the success of his Over-the-Rhine restaurant, Teak OTR.

The Oakley restaurant will now be called Rosewood. Its owner, Chanaka De Lanerolle says in a press release that rosewood, like teak, is a sturdy wood found in Southeast Asia and says the name is an appropriate counterpart to Teak OTR’s service, cuisine, atmosphere and value.

“I have found that the population in Oakley and the surrounding community craves the Thai fare and sushi we serve at Teak OTR, and it caused me to reimagine the menu and ambiance that would best satisfy our diners from the I-71 corridor,” Lanerolle said in the release.

Rosewood will keep Oakley Fish House’s fresh fish dishes, like stuffed flounder, Chilean sea bass and red snapper. It’s also adding some Teak OTR favorites, like fried rice, pad Thai, lad na, four stir-fry selections, six versions of Thai curry and an extensive sushi menu. It will also offer “Rosewood Rockefeller,” its take on Oysters Rockefeller.

“Our menu has something for every age and every palate,” said Lanerolle. "You could walk to Oakley Square and enjoy drinks and appetizers, or make Rosewood a dining destination for a fun night out or special occasion.

The restaurant will also be offering a new take on cocktails with a slight Asian flair and will have a fully stocked bar with a large bourbon selection and Asian beers.

Rosewood’s grand opening is Tuesday, Nov. 29.
