Popular Over-the-Rhine bagel shop The Bagelry is getting closer to opening its new location in Oakley.

The Bagelry put out a call for résumés on its Instagram page last week, writing, "We’re currently hiring all positions for our soon to come Oakley location! ... If you like being a part of a team, having your afternoons, carbs and cheese - this just might be the perfect job for you!"

The bagel shop announced in December 2021 it would be opening its second location at 3212 Madison Road, just across the street from Oakley Centre.

Formerly known as OTR Bagelry, the bagel shop operated in farmers markets and as a Findlay Market pop-up before graduating to its brick-and-mortar location at the corner of Walnut and 14th streets in 2018. At the time, owner Richard Huff told CityBeat he wanted to combine “New York-style with Cincinnati passion” when creating his hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels and housemade schmear.

The Bagelry doesn't have a solid opening date just yet but is slated to open sometime this winter, according to its website. If you're interested in applying, you're asked to send your résumé to [email protected].
