While cooling off in Sunlite Pool and racing down a waterslide is a must-do experience for your summer bucket list, Coney Island is also adding new activities to give guests even more fun options for a day at the park.

All the new attractions are within a five-minute walk of Sunlite Pool. First up are the new pickleball courts, currently under construction. This sport is growing fast in popularity, so the park is adding four courts for guests. Rentals are $20 an hour, but Adventure Passholders can get a discount. The courts will be open daily from 10 a.m. to closing at 8 p.m.

The next new addition to the park is Sports Alley, which the park says "dares kids to make friends and play outside all afternoon!"

In Sports Alley, your kids can play soccer pool, a mashup of soccer and billiards that’s fun for both athletes and non-athletes. Players compete on a large, ground-level billiards table and kick a white soccer cue ball to knock their team’s colored soccer balls into side pockets. They can also take part in street curling, in which players slide heavy stones across a synthetic surface toward a target to win points. Both rentals are free by leaving a season pass or ID with an attendant.

Sports Alley is open every day from 1-6 p.m. and will be monitored by an attendant.

There are also new activities over the weekend for adults to try, including fowling (a bowling and football mashup) and disc golf, both of which are open from noon to 6 p.m. For disc golf, participants can bring their own discs or a limited number will be available to rent. Rentals are free by leaving your season pass or ID with an attendant.
