May means
Zoo Babies time at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. “Babies are born throughout the year, but we like to celebrate them during the month of May when the weather is warm and most of them can be outside,” said zoo director Thane Maynard in a release. Maynard says that while there are some bird zoo babies, they won't be out in public to protect them from the avian flu.
Head over to the zoo during the month of May and search for signs that mark where you can find babies and expectant mothers. “Baby animals are great ambassadors for their species,” said Maynard. “When guests meet these babies, we hope they are inspired to care about them and their wild counterparts," says Maynard.
Many of the babies may be big, but they still aren't fully grown yet — like the famous 5-year-old
Fiona the hippo, who is soon to be a big sister, and giraffe brothers Theo and Fenn who were born in 2019. Find the full list of zoo babies

The event kicks off on May 1 and continues through May 31. Zoo Babies is included in your zoo admission.
