Conflict along the New Road in Nepal's Himalayan Mountains from China to India

"Baato" Himalayan documentary film with filmmakers Lucas Millard & Kate Stryker

Native Cincinnati documentary filmmaker Lucas Millard and his partner Kate Stryker will host a Q&A session following the special screening of their documentary film shot along a road under construction from China to India through the high Himalayan Mountains of Eastern Nepal. The film follows a family on a trek of hundreds of miles from their village to a lowland city where they intend to sell medicinal herbs. Magnificent scenery, cultural immersion, community displacement, eminent domain, and an important international topic on China's Belt & Road Initiative.
