Join us at the Weston Art Gallery for the opening reception for Candace Black: Accoutrements.
Black (Columbus, OH) creates cast architectural and bodily forms that metaphorically animate a specific environment. Responding to the Weston’s street-level exhibition space, Black will present a series of body extensions subjected to pressures illustrated through afflictions and protective barriers such as fire and silver mirroring. Presented in conjunction with transformed architectural elements, the viewer encounters these body-scaled objects as they interact with an imagined built environment.
The opening reception for Accoutrements is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs through January 15, 2023.
