Candace Black: Accoutrements

Black (Columbus, OH) creates cast architectural and bodily forms that metaphorically animate a specific environment. Responding to the Weston’s street-level exhibition space, Black will present a series of body extensions subjected to pressures illustrated through afflictions and protective barriers such as fire and silver mirroring. Presented in conjunction with transformed architectural elements, the viewer encounters these body-scaled objects as they interact with an imagined built environment. The opening reception will be held on 11/18 from 6-8 p.m. The exhibition runs through 1/15/23. Please note the gallery will be closed on 11/24, 11/25, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1 for the holidays.
