During the Cincinnati Reds game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 6, Elly De La Cruz dazzled spectators in his major league debut. The former Louisville Bats player finished 1-for-3 with a double, two walks and run scored while batting cleanup for the Reds. According to
ESPN, his double had an exit velocity of 112 mph, which tied for the hardest hit of any Reds player so far this season. De La Cruz helped the Cincinnati Reds earn a 9-8 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 6.
