A new taco restaurant and event space has opened in Columbia Tusculum.
Bandito Food Park calls itself a "one-of-a-kind restaurant and event venue featuring an atmosphere that expresses an outer parklike celebration complete with fun food and beverages offered to match."
To accomplish that vibe, the interior of Bandito features a bar, a "container-like counter" and vintage trailer where guests can order food, picnic tables, fake turf floors and string lights. There is also a "Catrina de Muertos" mural and other murals by artist Kim Goins. The menu includes tacos, burgers, chicken, hot dogs, salads, bowls and homemade salsas and sauces. For example, the Three Amigos includes three birria tacos made with braised beef barbacoa topped with cotija cheese, red onion, cilantro and spicy beef broth. The Panch and Lefty is a Mexican-style hot dog topped with barbacoa carnitas on a brioche bun. Bandito also offers some specially selected beers and margaritas.
A separate, second space features “colorful wall art, private booths and a stage" and is available for private parties. The restaurant says they also plan to host their own events there.Bandito is located at 3543 Columbia Parkway in Columbia Tusculum. Find more information and the full menu at banditocinci.com.
