Heritage Village Museum will kick of 2022 with the First Person Program Series! Come to the Village and learn about notable people of the past from the presenters! Each program includes dessert. Clement Vallandigham, a prominent Dayton lawyer and Democrat, was vehemently opposed to the Civil War and Lincoln administration policies. Jailed and deported for his views, Vallandigham ran for Governor of Ohio in absentia while in Canada. Join us for an evening of discovering Vallandigham’s views on states’ rights, slavery, and the American Civil War. Vallandigham will be portrayed by the education director at the museum, Steve Preston.
