The Weston Art Gallery is hosting a conversation with Candace Black.
Black (Columbus, OH) creates cast architectural and bodily forms that metaphorically animate a specific environment. Responding to the Weston’s street-level exhibition space, Black will present a series of body extensions subjected to pressures illustrated through afflictions and protective barriers such as fire and silver mirroring.
The Weston’s annual Gallery Talk Series of public lectures and informal talks provides a rare opportunity for the public to meet the presenting artists and enjoy the ensuing dialogue. All talks are free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided.
