Greater Cincinnati Welcomes Little Amal Puppet During Cross-Country Journey [PHOTOS]
Little Amal, a 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee, visited Cincinnati and Covington as part of her journey across 13 countries. Prior to visiting Greater Cincinnati on Sept. 22, Amal had trekked 6,000 miles across the United States. Mayors Aftab Pureval and Joseph Meyer, along with many other spectators, were there to welcome Amal and cheer her on as she crossed the Roebling Bridge as part of her mission to spread hope, artistic expression and stories about refugees, immigrants and displaced people.
