On Friday, May 19, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky were united by not only bridges, but by their love of margaritas at the ninth-annual Margarita Madness.
The Purple People Bridge was full of fun, laughter and, of course, plenty of tequila as 12 area restaurants participated in a showdown of who could whip up the best and most creative margaritas. Celebrity guest judges included cocktail queen Molly Wellmann, Bengals wide receiver Trenton Irwin and CityBeat's own investigative news reporter Madeline Fening.
Taking home the Critic's Choice Award and the People's Choice Award with their tasty (and sparkly) ube margarita was Somerset. Meanwhile, Mi Cozumel won the Critic's Choice Award for Most Creative with offerings of their strawberry, blue Milagro and mango/passionfruit margaritas.
And while we saw plenty of bright, colorful and delicious margaritas, we also saw a ton of people having the time of their lives. Keep scrolling to see all the fun.
