The Cincinnati Cyclones notched a note in the record books during the game against the Indy Fuel on March 4, but they did so under a completely different name.
For one night only Cyclones partnered with the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden for the team's alternate identity, the Cincinnati Hippos
. Sporting jerseys of purple, white and turquoise with a large illustration of a hippo on the front, the team ended their six-game winning streak with a 3-2 loss to the Fuel. All was not lost, though, as the Cyclones ... er, Hippos ... still nabbed a standings point, extending the team's point streak to 12 for just the second time in franchise history.
