The show also highlighted Asian American artists and their contributions to the art forms. Event organizers say paper lanterns were chosen as a symbol of spring and a nod to many cultures having their own unique lanterns that represent light and awareness while still embodying different cultural meanings.
World-renowned burlesque dancer Frankie Fictitious headlined the show. Madame Mira, Ling and Kasey Crimson were among the other performers on stage.
