Favorite Newport dining destination The Bakers Table has opened a new bakery across the street from the restaurant.
The Bakers Table Bakery opened Monday, Oct. 18, at 1001 Monmouth St., Chef David Willocks and his wife Wendy Braun announced in a press release.
They say the new location offers sourdough breads, pastries and espresso for breakfast and lunch and, in the evening, guests can enjoy farm-to-table pizzas and sustainable Italian wines. Find the full menu at bakerstablebakery.com.
We want people to come to the bakery and be inspired by the amount of passion and craft that has gone into each loaf of bread since we opened The Bakers Table three years ago, Chef David Willocks says in the release. Were proud of what were doing here, and were ready for people to see how we do it.
The Baker's Table, which opened in 2018, quickly became a favorite for their locally sourced ingredients and made-from-scratch dishes and the word got out quickly. In 2019, the eatery was recognized by both Eater.com and USA Today as one of the best new restaurants in America.
The owners say they want guests to enjoy their morning coffee and watch as the bread for the dinner service is prepared in front of them. They say there is seating for up to 24 people.
The Bakers Table Bakery is open 7 a.m. -2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch and 4-9 p.m. in the evenings for dinner bites.
Menu items rotate so follow the bakery's Instagram for updates.
