Join us at the Weston Art Gallery for the opening reception for Steven Thurston: Lost in Translation – Deception and Desire.
Fascinated by history and the alchemy of porcelain, Thurston (Columbus, OH) explores notions of authenticity and the compelling arena of translation. Through an ongoing series of iconic porcelain busts depicting the founding fathers of the United States, he examines translational misunderstanding and conflicting mythologies surrounding the subjects.
The opening reception for Lost in Translation – Deception and Desire is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs through January 15, 2023.
