First Person Program Series: Belle Boyd

Heritage Village Museum will kick of 2022 with the First Person Program Series! Come to the Village and learn about notable people of the past from the presenters! Each program includes dessert. Boyd was a tomboy staunch defender of her family. When a Union officer spoke unkindly to her mother, she took the family pistol and killed him. She defied the era’s standard for ladies. Eventually she became an intelligence agent who was unassuming to the Union soldiers, as she was a girl. Boyd will be portrayed by She Dunn, who has portrayed Boyd in many Civil War reenactments.
