Opening Reception - Gee Horton: Chapter 2, A Subtle Farewell to the Inner Child

You're invited to the opening reception of Gee Horton’s exhibition, Chapter 2: A Subtle Farewell to the Inner Child, on Saturday, September 7th, from 6-8 pm at Kennedy Heights Arts Center. Part of the 2024 FOTOFOCUS Biennial, this exhibition explores black masculinity, healing, and self-discovery through photography, drawings, collage, and video. Inspired by a pilgrimage to Senegal, Horton’s work delves into identity, memory, and belonging, featuring personal narratives and the experiences of six African American men.
