Hyde Park's beloved diner The Echo made the difficult decision to close its doors in late March amid the coronavirus pandemic, planning to ride things out until they were able to reopen for full service, according to a Facebook post.
They have since decided to reopen, with a more concise menu that focuses on lunch items, dinner specials and a few breakfast options.
The carry-out menu includes classic sandwiches like cheeseburgers, tuna melts and fried fish sandwiches; salads ranging from Greek to Chicken Feta Chop; sides like home fries, onion rings and green beans; daily dinner specials like meatloaf with mashed potatoes or turkey with all the trimmings; a breakfast sandwich and Businessman's Breakfast; as well as soups and pies.
They will begin serving their carry-out menu on Monday, April 20 and will continue 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Place your order by calling 513-321-2816.
"We cannot wait to be back to serving all of you," The Echo says in a Facebook post. "We will continue to practice procedures that keep you and our staff safe! Please help us spread the word to all your friends and family that have been missing us. Can't wait to see you all next week!!!"
