The fourth-annual Cincinnati Coffee Festival, the largest of its kind in the Midwest, is returning to Over-the-Rhine's Music Hall this year. The festival recently announced its 2020 dates — get ready for the ultimate caffeine fix Sept. 12-13.

The event brings together local and regional coffee roasters, coffee and tea shops and bake and pastry shops, as well as chocolatiers to offer fest-goers samples of their goods.

In addition to a wide variety of vendors, the event also hosts activities like Latte Art in Action, where guests can watch and learn from baristas making latte art, a "cupping" station where attendees can learn the best way to sample coffee and demonstrations and presentations from coffee industry pros.

The festival raises funds for the Ohio River Foundation, a locally-based nonprofit that works to protect and improve the Ohio River's watershed and ecology.

“The Cincinnati Coffee Festival is our signature fundraising event attended by thousands of coffee, tea, chocolate and baked goods enthusiasts,” said Rich Cogen, executive director of Ohio River Foundation (ORF), which produces the event, in a press release. “We look forward to putting on a wonderful event again at Music Hall helping support the local coffee community and raising funds for our conservation work in the region.”

The fest is now taking applications for vendors and tickets go on sale in May.
