Remember former Papa John's Pizza founder John Schnatter's bizarrely sweaty 2019 interview with Louisville-based news outlet WDRB news, where he claimed to have eaten 40 Papa John's pizzas in 30 days, bashing the quality since coming under new ownership.

Well, apparently Ohioans didn't get the memo.

Google Maps recently released a report identifying each state's top-searched pizza chains in honor of National Pizza Day (Feb. 9), by gathering data from Google Maps searches from throughout last year — a pretty pizza delivery heavy year for many of us. Online publication HuffPost snagged up the data and presented it in a story

Ohioans and Michiganders, college football rivals, could agree on one thing — their preferences lie in other pie chains.

Apparently, folks from the Buckeye States are fans of Papa John's pizza. Even after Schnatter's claims that “it’s not the same product. It just doesn’t taste as good. The way they’re making the pizza is just not fundamental to what makes a Papa John’s pizza," in his aforementioned interview.

When Ohio folks aren't in the mood for national chain 'za, the list says residents opt for locally-based business like Donatos Pizza, Marco’s Pizza and Dewey’s Pizza.

Michigan's most-searched pizza was Jet's Pizza, which is a national chain that originated in Michigan.

See the full list here.

And watch a cringe-y video of Schnatter's son helping him order his first pizza online, below.  Don't miss that insane sculpture in the house's foyer.
