Branch has closed.

East Walnut Hills eatery Branch and its downstairs bar Drop have closed.

The restaurant, owned by The Littlefield Group — which also oversees The Littlefield bourbon bar and bistro and Second Place sports bar in Northside — posted the news to its social media.

The post reads: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce we have decided to close the doors to @drinkatdrop and Branch. Though we are sad to say goodbye we are also filled with immense gratitude. We thank all the teammates, guests, and community members who supported us. We wish you all nothing but the best."

The restaurant, which had recently brought on new Executive Chef Alessandro Urbisci, did not give a reason for the closure.
Branch opened at the corner of Madison and Woodburn avenues at the tail end of 2018. The Littlefield Group rehabbed a historic Art Deco bank over a two-year period to open the eatery and its downstairs bar, originally called Night Drop.

In CityBeat's review in February of 2019, food critic Pama Mitchell called her meal there "a just-about-perfect dinner."
