One of the most delicious collaborations to hail from Braxton Brewing Co. has returned to brew taps and grocery shelves for a limited time.
The Key Lime Pie ale, a creation made with Cincinnati-based ice cream chain Graeter's, was released on Aug. 18 and is available at the brewery's Covington taproom as well as local retailers (which can be found via Braxton's Beer Finder). According to Braxton's website, canned 4-packs of the brew are no longer available at their taproom as they have sold out.
The beer, which was first released in 2019, is light and refreshing, yet creamy and decadent and features pleasant hints of the summertime pie. The ale is brewed with vanilla bean, cinnamon, lactose and "freshly zested key limes to create a perfect balance between sweet and tart."
The Key Lime Pie ale contains 4.5% ABV and an IBU of 4.
