National Coffee Day is coming up Wednesday, Sept. 29, and to celebrate, the Butler County Donut Trail is releasing a specialty coffee to complement its sweet treats.
Local roaster La Crema Coffee Company developed a Red Velvet Donut Coffee, a breakfast blend that combines notes of donuty sweetness with smooth, freshly roasted coffee, Travel Butler County says in a release.
They say anyone who wears a Donut Trail T-shirt to their office on Sept. 29 will receive a complimentary sleeve of coffee while supplies last. Red Velvet Donut Coffee will also be available at Mimi’s Donuts & Bakery, Oxford Doughnut Shoppe and Martin’s Donuts.
“Butler County, Ohio, is known worldwide for our incredible donuts,” said President and CEO of Travel Butler County Mark Hecquet. “We can’t think of any better way to enjoy a delicious donut than with a fresh cup of coffee. Highlighting a small, local business by bringing donuts and coffee together with a custom blend is our favorite way to celebrate National Coffee Day.”
The Butler County Donut Trail, which highlights local donut shops, spans 80 miles and takes 4.5 hours to complete. Travel Butler County says that over 28,000 people from all 50 states and 23 countries have completed it since its creation.
