Silverton's Proud Hound Coffee is offering a new way to give back to health care workers who are tirelessly providing health and safety for the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
The coffee roasters are producing specialty $10 Healthcare Bags that can be purchased and sent to a local hospital. They are also personally matching each Healthcare Bag purchase.
According to Carl Arvidson, a co-founder of the company, Proud Hound has provided Christ Hospital with 100 coffee bags since starting the donation program. They plan to switch their donation recipients to TriHealth next week.
Proud Hound launched their business in August and currently operate out of their warehouse in Silverton. The team consists of three friends — Arvidson, Dan Smith and David Holman — who all share a passion for coffee.
You can purchase a Healthcare Bag on their website, as well as a variety of other coffee options and accessories, or visit their shop from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. You can also order a coffee bag subscription to have it delivered to your door monthly.
Proud Hound Coffee Roasters is located at 6717 Montgomery Road, Silverton.
